  • Height: 6’11’’ – 210 cm
  • Active Hand: Right
  • Physically: He has a good shape of body, not too muscle or thin. Looks athletic and has long arms.

Strengths:

  • He can shoot and stretch the floor well. Has a 3-point threat both transitions and half court.
  • He is confident on his shooting. He doesn’t doubt before he shoots or after he misses the first one.
  • Combine of athleticism and his long arms gets him able to block and altering shots.
  • He doesn’t hold back from put his chest between him and his opponent on post-ups or 1v1 defenses. Moving well laterally.
  • Very mobile for a player who standing at 6-foot-11. Can move very flexibly and comfortably inside of the perimeter.
  • Not a static player. Uses off-cuts very well, finds open spots, and brings dynamism to the court.
  • Decent court vision. Be aware of help defenses. Fills the right spots on team defense.
  • Follows the ball, has a good anticipation on offensive rebounds, second chances and put backs.
  • He can finish with both hands at the rim.
  • He can attack to the close outs with ball, but didn’t displayed that very much last season. He uses jab steps and shot fakes very effectively against close out defenders.

Improvement Areas:

  • He is not a good rebounder enough for his height. He fights for the rebounds and boxes out, but overall he can’t use his body well in the paint.
  • He has troubles on finishing sometimes. Misses easy put backs, dunks that I saw many times in several competitions.
  • Limited ball-handling skills. He often looses the control of the ball when playing post-ups, drives or on mismatches easily.
  • Poor post-ups. Player who standing at 6-foot-11 must play post plays and know how to take advantage over short opponents in European basketball. So, he needs to add post plays to his skillset.

Overall, Ščuka displays notable strengths on both offense and defense. His shooting ability and capacity to stretch the floor provide a considerable advantage for his team on half court. His combination of athleticism and long arms makes him an effective shot alterer. His mobility and flexibility on the court, along with his dynamic play, make him a versatile asset. However, there are areas for improvement, like rebounding and using his body effectively. Developing his post-up game is also crucial for maximizing his height advantage. With focused effort on these areas, he has the potential to become an even more valuable player in the Europe.
